This s another excellent chapter. You moved the story along nicely. I d not see any room for improvement. I thought you might use a sky scraper picture since they are in NYC.I look forward to the next chapter. Have a blessed day.

I've already used a skyscraper photo. I thought I'd mix it up a little.

Well, good! Cordero's staying another night. Sooner or later, though, he as to leave. I wonder if Ale's ex will patiently wait in the wings until Cordero's gone?
"I need to get to course. [I need to get to THE (?) course.]
Alexandra started dialing her phone. [Dialing? LOL]
Another fine chapter, Barbara.

I'd say Ali has been too protected. That's probably why Alan mistreated her. He thought she wouldn't fight back. I wonder why she reacted so strangely when her mother suggested she and Cord spend another day in NYC. Maybe she was worried about another encounter with Alan? I like that Cord doesn't play golf. That seems to be rare in men. I hope Tonia told her husband that he didn't need to check up on Ali. Great characterization, and I'm eager to see why Ali pulled that disappearing act. judi

Thank you for the kind review. Yes, all Ali's problems stem from overprotective parents, at least that's the root cause. Ali doesn't want Cord to feel pressured to stay another. He hates cities.

You're welcome. I curious about whether Alan will try something else. judi

He will. I can promise it will get really bad.

Nicely written.
Google pic - I was gonna say - Where are the mountains near a course close to New York City?
Sounds like Ali was easily upset.
Best wishes.

Yes Ali does get easily upset. Thank you for the kind review. I don't know about the mountains. I just googled golf courses in NYC. LOL

I think as a father I always wanted my girls to be married to men who honoured my daughters as much as I wanted them honoured. And fortunately they did, so I can understand Brent approving of Cordero, I approve of your wonderful stance on these things, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy
Typo : Mr. Black I (k)need to check your itinerary.

Another great read. You are it for this morning. No Sally and no Ulla. My other 2 favourite writers. You are keeping us in suspense. Seeing they were being watched I am sure the ex has plans. No spags.

Hi Barbara, I really liked this.chapte and I like the fact that her father is so protective of her. That is good. Now, Cordero don't play golf, and quite frankly, so what? Good on him. Ulla:)))

I really enjoyed reading this chapter, Barbara. It's nice Alexandra's parents are so supportive of Cord. I think they can see him as a son-in-law. It's too bad she gets so defensive, but I'm sure Cord will sort it out.
A few little spags: "What bring(s) you here so early?"
"I need to get to (the)course. Remind Ali brunch..."
"Alexandra went into her bedroom but said over (her) shoulder."
"Cordero headed (in) that direction."

I made the corrections. Those little words get me every time. I appreciate the help.

You're welcome, Barbara. It's often hard to see these things in our own writing. :)

I like the way Alan was labelled crook so emphatically. Presumably it was him that was watching the car. Why didn't they follow through on that? Kate xx
Note: Maybe slightly > Maybe a slight one

There was nothing they can get Alan on. Watching and not doing anything isn't a crime. Thank you for the kind review.
