Elizabeth, This is a very well written short story about the kidnappping of Scott's tomatoes and pumpkin. This person is really either a little looney are really brave to do something like that. You used very good descriptive words as always. love and blessings, Teri

Thankssssss! True story!

Sarah had better share pumpkin pie with Scott. I think the next time he sees her he should suggest it as payment for the pumpkin and maybe slice of pumpkin bread. LOL

Pie unlikely.

Well! She certainly is brazen! And determined! It would be galling for her to appear, slice of (Scott's) pumpkin pie in hand...which would put it in the realm of her previous behaviour! Scott is a saint!

Liz,
That is horrifying. What on earth would give someone the gall to think they could do that? I mean, if he hs eighteen pumpkins, I could see somebody thinking, oh, he won't notice if I take one - it wouldn't make me happy and it wouldn't mean it was okay. But I might understand it better. People bother me!
Thanks!

Pie unlikely.

This actually makes me a little angry, that someone would steal something that another person make the effort to grow. I would be furious if it was my pumpkin. Scott needs to install camera and catch them in the act. This lady shouldn't be allowed to get away with being so blazen in her actions.

Would you like me to put Sarah, Scott and the pumpkin into my murder mystery and accidently find an unsolvable crime with Sarah's disappearance? Just kidding of course. The woman is a menace.

Great idea! Pie unlikely.

Re-iterating the discovery of the splayed tines of the broken rake embracing the pumpkin, and taking the story on to actual theft and supposition have greatly enhanced the piece you posted a few days ago. I commend you.

Knowing that a nasty professional prowler was around, Scott should have taken sufficient precautions to protect the pumpkin. It was all his fault. I'm not surprised it has disappeared! He must think of something to keep Pumpkins and tomatoes safe 24x7. Maybe tieing a snake around the pumpkins may bring some protection to him. Hopefully, she will bring him some nice pumpkin pie. Thanks for sharing!:)

I wouldn't be surprised to see pumpkin pie served up for supper one day this week, it's a wondrous thing to bake pies and the ultimate folly to offer pie baked with produce fro your neighbour's garden, heh heh, well done, blessings Roy

Oh noooooo! Not the pumpkin! I think it might be time for Scott to get a guard dog, or at the very least a camera so he can confirm his suspicions. If it's her, heave a can of solid pack pumpkin at her skull. It's a pretty brazen crime for certain. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings.
