I met Mastery not all that long ago and wish I had met him sooner. He replied to one of my posts. We exchanged comments and quickly became friends. For his insight, wisdom, and empathy, he was a MASTER-Y of a man.

A lovely tribute to him Robyn. I was always pleased that he reviewed my work, and often with a touch of humour. In fact he's another one that I thought of recently and wondered how he was going. I was saddened to learn of his passing yesterday. It is lovely that you are creative enough to pick out his qualities and salute them in verse. Well done.

Comment from Gloria ....
I really like how you have worked Mastery's writing name into this fine tribute to the poet, author, and novelist as we knew him over the years.
Many found in Bob a mentor, teacher, and friend, and he will be sorely missed in the community.
My sincerest condolences to his FanStory friends, and family.
Thank you for sharing, Robyn.

Ah, there you go robyn,
you told us in your poem
who Mastery was like in you descriptive words.
That us fanstorians know he was a Master with Words.

Your tribute poem to the memory of Mastery is sincere, descriptive, and very moving. You speak not only of his great skills as a writer, but also of his supportive nature.

Robyn,
This is a sad day to loose another popular writer. He was talented in all writing formats and helped and encourage us well through the year.
You're last lines are so true.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

The best book I ever read of Bob's was "Falling up the stairs" it was about his life and his siblings in foster care, it was a sometimes brutal time for him, but he grew up a good man, and a gentleman beautifully written, as per usual Robyn, blessings Roy

I just found out he passed away. I was so shocked. He didn't seem his age at all. I guess at one time he was a pastor. Would have liked to hear a few of his sermons. =] Well done tribute.
