I enjoyed the story and think it had good content. There are a number of spelling errors and several spots which need apostrophes. Overall, I think it is a good piece.

I wanted to give you a heads-up. The contest announcement states the first sentence must be: The door slammed, echoing down the long hall. The first sentence of this story does not contain the word 'long.'

This is a story that now makes much more sense. I liked reading it. I wll say you did make an editing mistake and put 'licenwe' instead of 'license we.' Other than that, no other suggestions for anything this needs.
