This story, A Prized Possession, speaks to the camera possessed and the history of the cameraman from the "look this way and freeze" Brownie box to today. Amazing.

I admit to knowing nothing about cameras but my husband is a huge camera fan and photographer and he was very interested in seeing your Nikon, which happens to also be his favorite brand of camera. It will be interesting to see some of your videos. thanks for sharing.

Thanks Marilyn. I found out, today, I can add several video Links in FS as Links I posted in the chapter after this are a bit hard for folks to pick up. Look at the next chapter if you have not already and see some Youtube Links in there.

I've never been much of a camera man or picture taker, but I've always enjoyed the photography of other talented photographers. Keep snapping those pics. Thanks for sharing.

This is an interesting story about cameras and films. I need to move super 8s to DVD and my sister-in-law has the equipment. I just don't have the time. I spend too much time writing and cleaning rental units.

Ahh someone with a super 8 or just the film but no projector? It cost me $AU400 to get the old Super 8 film converted to DVD. There is still some lost with a friend somewhere I made for their daughter years go but have not seen it, lately. Thanks for the great review.

Look forward to seeing what you post. Interesting hobby you have picked up. Keep those videos coming. Want to see them when you post them. Things get a little harder to do when you grow older, like this ancient relic...me.

I'm glad you have a good camera. Photography is a wonderful hobby and the best part is all of the memories you can perserve. I miss you being on this site daily. I could always count on your reviews and corrections if your saw some I needed to make. I love photography. I had a Cannon cool pic but lately I've found my they drastically improver the camera in cell phone and that is always handy. I still use my Cannon when I'm going on a phont shoot but my main friend who love to go out in nature and shoot died recently and it is as much fun to go alone.

Since we are getting old that we have seen a lot of changes in the world of photography. I do remember the little brownie camera and that I had when I was young. I took many pictures with it and they usually came out pretty good but I could not afford to have the Pictures always developed because of the cost there. I am glad that you have the new camera and I wish you the very best with it. Patricia.

Thanks Sis I have more ramble coming with a bunch of Youtube videos.

Photography is a wonderful hobby, and your ramble takes us on a nostalgic journey from the Box Brownie to the present day. Of course, these days most of the billions of photos taken each day are taken on mobile phones and stored somewhere in the nebulous clouds! Nothing to compare with albums full of memories!

Thanks mate and the reminder of how a lot more are doing it on phones, now. In my Youtubes I have some I had done on the phone as well. Stand by for the videos of St Marys changes for the new airport we are getting out here.

By first glance, this presentation looks organized and well written. Glad to see you still clinging around, Sankey. It's been many moons. Guess that you still live in Sydney Australia?
Reading prose...the paragraphs are not too long which is good! Guess that film has faded out and all digital cameras? Imagine the wonderful surprise of being able to purchase my current camera, the Nikon Coolpix a1000 with which I can get pictures and videos AT NO COST to myself! I got $AU100.00 off the regular price. Oh, you bought this camera? You happy with it?
