This is great, and your story certainly illustrates "entitlement." You are certainly right in what your say about these people. "To them a compromise means they get what they want and too bad for anyone standing in their way." That's so often the way it is in politics. The theme to "Jurassic Park?" That would certainly get you in the mood for the wedding. Reminds me of my niece's and cousin's high school graduation many years ago. The band played "Loony Tunes." Somehow, I wonder if their wedding will be a "once-in-a lifetime occasion. Great story. judi

This is really almost fall off of the couch funny. Those that think that they're entitled just have to get their way, don't they? Well, Jeffrey, thank you for thinking so highly of me...but the truth is I was SO incensed by their audacity, those women on the stage who pushed their cell phone into my face, that I hung up on the Dean!!! (I really did) This led to a second Dean actually physically showing up in the chapel and MAKING me discontinue the rehearsal for an hour while they practiced walking. Then, after Recital Day, I was told I was never allowed to use their facility ever again. (sigh)
But, as I said, I do appreciate that you thought so highly of me.

PS It rained like crazy the entire day of their wedding. Not that I was secretly delighted or anything. Nooooo. Certainly not! I'd never be like THAT!!!

LOL! Rachelle, that was so funny, and he so deserved to be pushed face first into the baptism font! LOL!! You have the patience of a Saint, my friend, and it serves you well. Well, actually, Sandra, I became so incensed by it all that I (a) hung up on the Dean [I swear to G-d!], and (b) was blackballed from ever using the facility again!!!
I also smiled when it rained like crazy the entirety of their wedding day. (I'm only nice for so long, and then my red hair takes over.)
