Look like we are going to finally get some answers to help Shana make a decision as to whether or not to pursue the painting.
Anderson leaned back. "I don't believe we have enough information to make a decision. That's why we need to find out exactly what Morozov is up to and who he's connected to. I'm hoping either Jeff or Jeremy will be able to fill in the blanks, and then we can decided if continuing to get the painting back is worth it or not."
This makes me interested in Jeff showing up for breakfast, because then our intrepid group may be able to resolve this impasse.
A highly engaging chapter in your romance-mystery saga. Keep up the great work.

I talk to my dogs all the time, and they answer too - with ear wiggles, leaps, etc. I enjoyed Shana talking to Romeo, and he certainly seems to be taken with her. I was just thinking that I was confused about who Jane and Helen were exactly, but then noticed your list of characters - great that you include that! Well done, I just wish you posted more often ;)

- Shana's eyes widened and placed her hand on her chest. "What?" - "she" missing between before "placed her hand..."
I'm still not sure where Anderson actually stands - on the side of the good or on the side of the shady or downright...criminal. I guess I really need to go back from the beginning of the story and catch up on whatever I've missed in between.
Also, I find Shana a little too timid, insecure, for a heroine, but this could also be the character you've chosen for her and with good reason.
Thanks for sharing,
Apky

Shana will grow with this novel. She came to NYC as a young small town English teacher. Thank you for the kind review.

Things will always have a tendency to change. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is good imagery. Keep up the good work.

Another good page turner. Romeo and Shana watched in silence as New York City woke up. ( Awakened.) Awaken? Could be? Just thinking about stronger wording.
Nothing wrong I could see. Sometimes certain wording builds strength in the story.

I enjoyed Shana thinking she was talking to the dog when it was actually Drew.
and then we can (decide) if
Drew, (it's) Jeff
Good job with this section. I'm getting impatient to find out why they want her painting. I enjoy a good mystery like this one.

Hi Barbara - haven't been on FS much lately, so certainly have missed out on your wonderful stories. Something I've always admired about your writing is that you manage to drive your reader through. Always a great mixture of narrative and dialog. Me, I like your dialog. Very real to your characters. You are gifted! Warm regards, Bill
