You will do fine, Barb. I had my first solo reading a couple of months ago. I was a little nervous, but if you are doing something that you love, you will rise to the occasion.

Be upfront. Do not overshare. You can speak of issues you struggle to overcome or at least work around. Feel free to mention some of your important goals, but only if they are goals you have a reasonable hope of meeting. It does no good to mention goals you have no hope of ever achieving. While it is good to be humble, being over humble may make you appear false. Best of luck and by all means please let me know how it went.

Congratulations on being invited to a Meet the Author. This is exciting. I've been to such events as a spectator. It often sells your book if the audience has not already read it. The last one I went to was at my local library. I had read the book and was particularly interested in the author's writing
and story development process. The author talked about the research she did, how she came up with characters, and the feelings she hope her novel evoked in readers. I pray for your continued success.

Congratulations on being invited to a Meet the Author. This is exciting. I've been to such events as a spectator. It often sells your book if the audience has not already read it. The last one I went to was at my local library. I had read the book and was particularly interested in the author's writing

It is going to be at our public library. I have been asked to be a speaker and do Q&A about my published books and about writing.

I guess it means you are a keynote speaker Barbara, is that true? I suppose you can tell them about your adventures as an author and what underlies why you write, and the wondrous therapeutic value it is for you, good luck I will pray for you, what an opportunity, well done, blessings Roy

It's at the public library. I think they also will have other authors. I hope so. Maybe I won't go first so I can learn.

I will mention FanStory. The library is putting it on. I will speak about my writing and have Q&A. I'm busy trying to get everything in order. I'm literally flittering from one thing to the next and my brain thinks of thing.
