An unusual list of expressions about the liver. A French term of endearment is "Mon petit chou" which means "my little cabbage", and other variations of "chou" are also terms of endearment. So interesting, where all these expressions come from.

I know - the French have many odd expressions. Maybe you can do an idiom post focusing on French idioms? Thanks so much, Wendy! Hugs!

Oh my gosh! This all just struck me as so funny! Imagine? "I will eat your liver?" as a term of endearment! It loses something in the translation... Oh my. I've got the giggles.

I know! So creepy! But I always thought the "eat your heart out" sounded so rude! Lol. Thanks so much, Karenina! Hugs!

No, that doesn't sound right, but it probably would if we'd been raised with it. It's so interesting how different the idioms are but still say the same thing.
