A fine write, Jesse, "Dying Breed" is the name of my brother and I's metal band, back in the day; unfortunate name, as our base player was hit by a car and killed walking home from the store to buy milk, our drummer had a heart attack at practice and eventually had to get a transplant, and I was hit head driving and knocked into a coma. We were struck by The Curse of Hercules, we used to joke

Thanks for your informative review about your metal band. I appreciate your kind comments, and I am sorry about the bad things that went wrong while you had the name, dying breed for your band.
Perhaps you will choose another name that brings you good luck instead of bad.
Thanks for the excellent review and rating, my friend!
Have a great evening,
Jesse

Thanks, Jesse, and I misspoke, the name of our Band was Held Under, 'Dying Breed' is the name of our album. 'Doh!'

Oh, I see and understand. Thanks for clarifying that for me.
Have a great day,
Jesse

You bet, Jesse, thanks, and you also

Hello Jesse!
Goodness!
My hands are covered in northern Michigan dirt, having just come inside to rest a bit from gardening, but I wanted to share with you that I appreciate the sentiments in your offering!
Your offering could well be a free verse poem!
I quite like the idea of becoming a "shooting star," but I am not going to put away my gardening tools just yet or the thought of staying on "terra firma!"
My heart is "still aflame with desire" for a plethora of plans, hopes, and desires!
Thank you for sharing!
And keep writing!

Good afternoon, Diane!
I know you love your gardening so, I am grateful for your coming inside long enough to review my prose piece.
I am glad that this resonates so well with you! Thank you for the kind words and excellent rating.
I will keep writing as long as you keep writing too!
Have a glorious day,
Jesse

You did a good job with your well-thought out words to describe one's journey through life and how s/he views it near the end. Your use of internal rhyme breeders/feeders rain/game face/replaced soon/assume waste/taste carry the story and your message well. Yes, life will go on after we are gone--that's a given. Your image is a good pairing with your words. The message is loud and clear--don't waste your life--use it productively.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

As I have grown older, I have become more aware of my own mortality. But there's still plenty of time to live what years remain to the fullest. This is a very uplifting piece, and I'm happy I read it.

This sentiment resonates with me now I am sixty-eight years old. You describe very well how it feels to realize you are only passing through this world.

You speak truth. This was uplifting and honest. I really enjoyed it and it goes along with my line of thought as well. I write and have written things of this nature continually. Positive affirmations have magical properties when written, and when read by others.
