Another great story! My favorite two parts are:
My Saab was a ball of twisted metal, and I was sandwiched between a Chevy Suburban and a concrete wall.
And
The back door let go with a sigh
Excellent! And the Bee Gees are also a nice touch. :-)
If I may, I noticed a couple type a graphical errors as follows:
I shook my head in compliance.

Thank you for the catches and the compliments. I'm still struggling with my new system of voice recognition typing. It misses a lot. Thanks so much. Sending you my best today as always,

Voice recognition typing? Are you using a PC or your phone?

What a horrible thing to happen. I imagine you were scared to death. One of my sons is a paramedic and he's always telling me stories like this, how they had to cut someone out of a car. You were very lucky, and I have no doubt your guardian angel was riding with you.

Yes, God was looking out for you Sally. Your contest entry reads well with many details, great imagery, and suspense. I'm thrilled you were rescued and are here to write this. I love the way you ended your story. Best wishes.

What an amazing story, Sally. Yet, you made me smile: the Bee Gees as a heavenly choir! They do have some great harmonies...
What a close call! I'm so glad you're alive, my friend. It really could have been, lights out. Thank God for firefighters, rescue workers, EMTs. (Jorge is a HUGE fan of them, he even has a ton of paraphernalia that he wears in their honor, and he knows many of the local first responders by name.)
It's also a great blessing that no one else was killed or seriously injured in the smash up, because that can leave a person with PTSD. I hope you recovered well from your physical injuries.
That video is incredible. Watching them pull all of those survivors out, I was sure it was a multi-vehicle accident, and then the FF Chief said the four passengers came out of a single car! And they did all of that in less than ten minutes.
So good, that you had Jackson waiting there to greet and embrace you.
Thanks for sharing your story. I think you have a winner here.

You're very welcome, Sally. Yes, it sounds like Jackson made it there, to be at your side, in a flash. God bless you both! Love, Mary Kay xoxo

That could happen to anyone of us at any time. You had a guardian angel watching over you that day, Sal. You were close to Heaven, but it wasn't your time. I'm so glad, too. You have a lot more to do before you hop off this plane. Good luck in the contest, it's a winner to me. :)) Sandra xxx

This could have been entered in the Miracle Contest! With the car mangled the way it was, you must have realized what a blessing it was that you survived. What a harrowing experience. Congratulations on your Heavenly survival.

Wow! What a wonderful story of survival in a situation that could have been so much worse. The piece had plenty of drama and a happy ending. Thanks for sharing.

You never really know what happens when you're in a circumstance like that until you're in it. You just hope that if this is ever you that those brave men and women act just like they did with you. I'm so glad everyone was okay and everything turned out okay in the end. Big hugs!

I can remember some friends of mine had a bad smash in a car, when I was young, to see the wreck you would have thought all were killed, but one guy had a broken, the rest were without a scratch. God had plans, beautifully written Sally, great post. Blessings Roy
