So Anderson is divorced with a small child. Good. At least he's not currently married, so he's free to get together with Shana. And surely that will happen, right?

This time there was more of Shana's participation which brought me closer to the story. The para below just about rankled me - I thought this was only limited to a few places but it looks like it's all over the world.

"It's not only girls. In countries like Thailand, many of the young males are sold into prostitution. Most countries, including the US, have problems with child prostitution but the main ones are Thailand, Brazil, India, Sri Lanka, and Mexico City. The Russian Mafias have their hands in all of it." Jeremy took a bite of a ham and cheese sandwich. "Starvation is a strong motivator."

Look forward to the next.

Nice work with this chapter. I only have one suggestion. When Shana asked, "I don't understand. Why would girls agree to be involved with that?" Someone should have said, "they don't agree, they are tricked and forced to become prostitutes." This is a proven fact. Trafficking is forcing young girls by the use of threats and drugs to get them to comply.

Now we are getting somewhere in the investigation. Just as our intrepid discussed Joshua Colton and his connection to the Russian mafia, in walks Patricia to dump her daughter on Anderson a day early. Patricia is a rude, crude character who dominates the scene and leaves quickly like a tornado. Frustrated by the interruption, he learns from Jeremy, "We've been called to their apartment on more than one occasion." This made Anderson rise to his feet and slam the table. Not only is he asking "Why?" but so are the readers. We will have to wait until your next chapter to see how you resume your cliffhanger.

Thank you for sharing your most entertaining chapter.

Hi Barbara, the story is moving along nicely. We are getting a sense now of what is really going on behind the scenes. I loved the imagery of the three dogs sitting there and wagging their tales.

I believe you have something going on here when you were writing about Ivan Kuznetsov who looks to me in charge of Money laundering, drugs, and human trafficking. And one of the largest
(underage prostitute rings on the East coast.)
Has is eye Shana, Emily or is it Patricia -- Anderson's ex-wife
Or am i the wrong track?

HMMMM, very interesting idea. My characters write their own stories. I will see where they take me. So far all I know is Shana wants a cat. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

Patricia is about to meet up with reality. I'm assuming it is due to her parties. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read.

Well the chapter was heading in one direction and the you slammed on the brakes and had Patricia barge in.
I really don't like her and feel sorry for Emily.
When I thought we were going to get back to why the mafia is bothering Shana, Jeremiah drops another bombshell.
Way to go.
You certainly cranked it up a notch.

Oops, Jeremy has just pulled the wrong string this time. Anderson might have gone along with anything for the sake of not making waves with the ex-wife, but when he learns his daughter is caught up in the wrong environment, the poops gonna hit the fan. I think. Thanks for another fine chapter. :-)
