Another fine chapter. Great setting as the city wakes up. Shana just may come to love this lifestyle! The dogs really steal the show. Romeo has definitely made himself Shana's dog. Shana isn't sure about her situation. If she gives up the painting, will that get the Russians off her case? Anderson isn't sure that she and her family will be safe even if she gives up. Suspenseful ending to this post, as we wonder what new information Jeff has and what bearing it will have on Shana's decision. judi

Good morning, Barbara
Enjoyed the informal banter between your characters and the way you include the dog as an integral part of Shana's life. waiting for the Russian's to try and claim the picture.
One observation:
the edge she could watch this (magnificent city wake up and sat...had to pause here...didn't understand wake up and sat?).
Take care and stay safe,
Ray

Excellent chapter that sets a scene up for further answers as Shana tries to decide what to do.
Drew seems anxious to gelp.
Exceptional characters draws us into the story and care about what is happening.

Easily your best novel to date, Barbara. At least as far as I'm concerned. I think it's the result of the accumulation of words strung together over time. You've gotten so much more graphic in your characterization and your plots have taken on greater sophistication.

Hmmm.... then we can decided if continuing to get the painting back is worth it or not
Is putting lives in danger worth having an old painting? I'd say no, but everyone has their own priorities. I wonder just what the dangers will be. Surely nothing is too daring for Drew. I think he likes playing the hero. :)

Good work, again, Barbara. No spags and still got us all in suspense. I love the dogs how they interact with everyone. I made a mistake other day and left my chapter closed to public view. I have fixed that now.

Hi Barb, I enjoy Shana talking to the dog, and now, she was actually talking to Anderson. Very nice dialogue. Maybe, we will find out if she will pursue the painting or not.

Sorry, toward the end you've got. "and then we can decided if continuing..." etc.
with a tense shift. I haven't read the beginning chapters. Although I may do so
now. I like the writing stile and the dialogue formation.
