I always love your Cousin Caroline stories! And recently reading about the birth of the baby before you were born and now I see it is your cousin that you love to share about the humorous conversations!

Very interesting.
I never heard of a 'caul' so I looked it up - the birth sac.
My son always calls (when he calls) right when I sit down to watch the news. Not wanting to discourage him calling, I say nothing.
Best wishes.

Thank you again Wayne. I would never stop my cousin from taking while I eating either. Her meal time is a little earlier that mine and she always get bored about the time I'm ready to eat.

hah!
Suggest she nap after her lunch and 'then' to call. (smiley face here)

Well, that was a fun conversation. I've heard about the veil but was never sure what it was exactly. Psychic, hmmm. I'm going to have to look into this, sounds very interesting. Very nice chapter. It's great to have cousins to share things with. How many books are you working on? I look forward to your postings.

Thank you Jeano. According to my daugher I've got too many of the going. Actually there is only two main ones right now and they are both biographies. I appreciate the review.

My aunt was 104 and she was telling us about when her husband died, and she was a young mother with their two girls. She was explaining to me and my husband with hand gestures that she never wanted to marry only wait for her husband when she would join him in Heaven. She said, "You don't think anybody wanted all this? Well, I wasn't interested in anyone else, only my husband."
I loved my aunt so much, but I had to turn and laugh. I'm not one to keep a straight face. It was adorable really but unexpected that's why it made me laugh so hard. 104 years old! ;) ha
Thank you for sharing your story and excellent writing!

I think getting older opens the way to just expressing you self without filters. It often does seem to matter any more what others may the thing and say things might not have said when you were younger. It sound like you aunt was in good shape at 104.

Oh this is wonderful, Beth! I could listen to this conversation all day. Far more sensible that anything else I hear these days:)) I love Caroline and would like to have her in my life, if you could spare her sometime! There are a few edits: "You're supposed (t) let things go after a while;" "nostr(i)ls;" She (is) in assisted living; read about it on Goo(g)le. Excellent laugh! Thank you Debbie

Hello, Beth!
Now I have read and enjoyed a number of your posts, but this dialogue offering/chapter is by far my favorite!
What a hoot!
The dialogue between you and Caroline is absolutely priceless. I especially enjoyed why Caroline didn't finish Chapter 17 of your book!
Good Lord!
If I may, two small edits are needed:
***The other night, she got her claw inside one of my nostrals (nostrils) and made my nose bleed.
*** I found our (out) something about that caul or veil you were born with. There was a lot of information about that on the internet.
Truly, a most delightful read!
Thank you for sharing!
