This chapter is very well written and showing us that Ali is strong and willing to stand up for the rights of her clients. I like your explanation as to why you are making it a long story. I did notice one typo, but perhaps someone else has already mentioned this. Paragraph 7, "Jorge's calling Jim and ask if" - I think you meant "asking"

I understand the 3 days and the 50 days issues. The only thing is, you have the teapot boiling over on occasion. You also have Cord behaving as if Ali belongs to him... on occasion.

No, don't speed it up, it's lovely the way it is. It's just funny that they are always interrupted when they are about to have their first kiss. Lol.
Well, Ali has really stirred things up in town, and really does need a bodyguard or ten. Luckily for her, she has some strong men around her who will make sure she's safe. I think that judge was brilliant, it's good to know he's an honest Judge and will do his job properly. I really enjoyed this chapter, Barb, and can't wait until next Sunday to read the next part. It gives those of us who make many hope.
