It does seem that Alexandra really did cause a ruckus on her trip into town. The family was all ears to here her side of the story. It is amusing that Cord owes her an apology for calling her stupid when the horse was trying to protect her. Jorge is smart enough to know, his son doesn't need to hesitate about the apology. I'm enjoying the story.

Great work, and lots of action in it. Scary bit with the rattlesnake. Cord has a habit of jumping to conclusions, as he did about the horse rearing up. He immediately blamed Ali for going into the corral. He's going to have some apologizing to do. I hope those women will take her advice and file charges against Pat. He has it coming. Ali isn't going to let it drop if they don't. Great bit about the bull loose and running amok in the park. It holds the reader's interest to have bits like that in the story. Excellent work with the characters, especially the Cord and Ali relationship. judi

Jewel must think a lot of Alexandra. If a horse can protect a woman from a snake, I would forever thank that horse and keep him. There seem to be all kinds of reptiles lately....not a favorite!

I must ask...did you finish the other story you wrote? Been trying to find the finale.

Well, Barbara, this chapter had a little bit of everything. The bull is certainly dangerous but it was not attacking Ali but trying to save her. I like the story. Now we'll see what happens next. Ulla:)))

The bull wasn't anywhere around Ali. Jewel is a horse and wasn't attacking Ali either. Thank you for the kind review.

I love that Pat is possibly facing some overdue justice. Cord had better learn to control his tendency to spout off when excited or under pressure, a problem many men are afflicted with, myself included. I hope that Ali will forgive him. I am sure that she will.

Hey Barb, well done. I'm traveling on the Oregon coast so I don't have time for an in-depth review, but I wanted to give a shout-out to this chapter. Hope all is well.

New excitement happening all the time, Barbara. I like where you're going with this. You made us wonder if Alexandra had done something else while in town, something that caused someone to complain to the sheriff. Maybe she's caught a bad guy instead. But those cattle interrupt a lot of family time. I hope she can forgive Cordero, again. lol

A few little spags: "We'll need as men(many) as possible."

"pulled into (the) ranch's large parking area."

"scanned the work that needed to (be) done."

You?re most welcome, Barbara. Sometimes we are just tired or distracted when doing the final edit and we miss these little things. :)

Oh dear! First she's a hero, now she's stupid! What was Cord thinking? I know we say things we wouldn't normally when we've seen something happening to someone we care about, I hope his grovelling shows Ali that. He wasn't to know. But, stupid? Oh, my word, he's in big trouble. Lol. This was a really good family chapter, that unfortunately went wrong at the end. Well done, Barbara. :)) Sandra xx

I'm hoping Ali realized Cord didn't engage brain, but often that happens to us. Thank you for the kind review.
