Hi Roy Love this and wow what an accomplished artist you are not only poetry but music too I am not surprised and I am sure your talent is passed on for years to cone
I only have one grandaughter who is interested in theatre ( like me) Not one of my 3 children have any arty flair
My dad wrote beautiful poetry
All his life
I guess that how it goes
I bet you were a Rocker in the early days lol

I think this is a very successful and coherent piece. Parts remind me somehow of Johnny Cash. I'm so used to seeing your complex metaphors so this simplicity was a nice change. Do you have any of the recordings available? I'd love to have a listen.

No corrections spotted in the piece. The meter is very solid. Some of it is potentially a little clunky but, that can be smoothed out by the reader with good delivery.

In the author notes, there are a few characters that are not rendering FYI, and I think you meant to say 180 degrees (360 is a circle and continuing in the original direction, lol).

Hello Roy,
My word you are one talented fellow. I couldn't play an instrument to save my soul, but do I ever love to listen to music! It's such a blessing. One correction in your note below. You mention you did a 360 degree turn. That would be a complete circle. A 180 would be the opposite. 000 degrees is north.180 degrees is south. Thanks for sharing this fine poem.

And your wife's name is Elaine! How could I have forgotten that??!! I can't imagine who I was thinking of whose wife is named Mary. hm....

I'd like to mention that in your notes to say that you changed your life and did a 360 -- but I'm not sure that's what you meant. A 360 is a COMPLETE circle -- right back to where you began. *smile*

I THINK you mean a 180, right? You moved to the opposite position.
