Hi Miss Merri,
Your verse is truly beautiful, my friend! So full of perfect images and meaning for a most honorable man. Bob will be sorely missed by all on FanStory and his family.
Yes, I knew Bob had a difficult childhood in the foster care system that leaves much to be desired. His book, Falling Up the Stairs is a fictionalized account of that time and I intend to read it in his honor, if it is available in his portfolio or Amazon, which I believe someone said it is.
Your sweet and gentle verse to Mastery (Bob Hartson) is so lovely and full of hope as you send him off to sail the Forever Seas with wonderful words that tell of his struggles and accomplishments in his life. The love he sent out tirelessly, he received back ten fold.
All the best, MissMerri :-))

This is perfect in composition and I love the rhyme scheme. I like how you told the story of someone who is selfless, and touched the lives of those that he did so deeply.
I like how you said that in the ring with his voice~
Very nice tribute and acknowledgment of your friend.
Blessings,
Brother Badger

An excellent tribute to a very dear and log time FS friend and helper, Bob Hartson(Mastery.) We will certainly all miss him and his great novels and writing and helps. Your poem pointed to a lot of things we all knew about Bob in the loss of his son and some of the hard rows he had to hoe. God Bless.

Thanks Dolly. I met Bob soon after I joined FanStory in 2009, so we had many exchanges over the years. The first thing of his I read were the chapters that became his book, "Falling up the Stairs." I was impressed with how he dealt with sorrow and hardship. Glad you read this. Thank you for the review. MM

Yes, Bob had so many challenges to face in life, and then his last illness. I read his Cleve novels and "Falling Up the Stairs." He was so talented. As you write, he was kind and encouraging in his reviews. Your poem really does justice to him. "On Forever's Seas" is a lovely thought about Bob. He was such a tremendous influence on FS. judi

In bereavement we seek comfort in recalling the lifetime accomplishments of our lost one and in the devotionals we write. This beautiful poem, devoted to a long time friend, is not only appreciated by all of us, still imprisoned in this life, but also by our departed friend, as the soul never dies, but gains eternal life through the sacrifice of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Forever's seas, a peaceful ocean where we sail into the sunset, light fading, sails taut in the rising evening breeze, flying fish jumping ahead of the nodding bow. A new moon rising to light our way, the Southern Cross guiding our course.
Great Memorial.
