You seem to have a good story here. I will be more than happy to help you in any way that I can. I'm writing a novel about my uncle's art at this moment as a part of "Running Blind." Typically, an artist will keep a journal or record of some sort of their paintings. The most important thing is the signature and the authentic canvas and the oil that was available during that time period. A frame can be easily switched out. Do your research here to find out as much as you can on this.
I'm also a self-taught war historian. Hitler loved stealing and collecting art. It was upwards of 20 billion dollars.

This novel has been finished for probably close to a year and a half. I have posted a full novel on her and started the one I'm writing right now.

I have not read it (you must have posted during my hiatus) but the synopsis sounds like it would be a very interesting read especially for someone who likes history combined with an exciting mystery.
