Wow the tension is increasing and poor British naïve citizen - Charles Brandon - he landed in a big mess this time. I wonder if is going to be some ransom going on, or some bribing for the honest Police officer:) Thank you for sharing and good luck with your next chapter.

Thanks, Iza, for the six stars. Most affirming. These two are certainly in a fix. Bribery could be a way out for them. Time will tell. All good wishes, Tony

Ah ha they are in more serious trouble than they bargained for. I wonder what interrogation Helen is being put through. Probably the police may have found Charles' bag and gone through its contents. More trouble brewing I guess.
Look forward to the next chapter.
Sylvia

This poor couple seems to be in a real pickle now, separated and being interrogated in a very painful way.
Excellent descriptions. Good job bringing in the sensory details of smell and physical pain to heighten the sense of realism. One has to wonder what is happening to Helen and how long before they will be reunited.

Well, at least he didn't spit at our poor Charles. Well, things really took a turn for the worse! I don't know how with all their intelligence and quick thinking they are getting out of this captivity. Hopefully, their co-workers back in Islamabad are keeping tabs on them.

Thanks, Helen. It does begin to look as though they'll need outside help from somewhere. We shall see.

I believe the captors are just 'testing; Helen and Charles. What an awful situation, though. You did a good job with this chapter--lots of action. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Another very well written chapter in your book. It appears that things are getting very interesting and tense, I'll have to go back to review the notes about who all the characters are. Thanks for sharing! Bill

So Helen and Charles have been captured by the police and are currently being interrogated, as interrogation goes, but being, at this stage, relatively harmlessly, but I wonder if there'll be any intervention, and if there isn't, a change narrator, will happen. Well done Tony, blessings, Roy

You?ve hit the nail on the head. One of the drawbacks of first person narration!
    All the best, Tony.

Well this is a bit of a sticky wicket. No ID and ratted out leaves them both pretty much at an extreme disadvantage. This is really well penned as the interrogation contains just enough menacing innuendo to create high voltage suspense without giving much of anything away as to what may happen next. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Just when I thought they were going to be safe that the calvary came to their rescue. I do hope he does some quick thinking, quick talking. The chapter is well-written, very interesting start to finish. Your action, in the beginning, drew me right in. Great job as always.

A very well-written chapter. The escape from the one group of police lead to capture from another group of police who demand answers from the two escapees.
