Poor Drew. He means well but it seems he has touched a nerved with Shana. I am wondering if the fire has anything to do with the Russians, it seems they are capable of anything. I look forward to the next post.

Thank you for the kind review. Shana will forgive Drew and he learns a little more about her, from his mom.

Oh dear, trouble ahead for Drew. He is so silly, he should know Shana by now. How is this going to affect their 'friendship'? You have it all in this chapter, Barbara, fun, making the bed. (Glad I won't be sleeping on it!) A bit of tension with the fire on the oil rig, and a huge row heading Drew's way when you start the next part! LOL, I can't wait to read that part. Men seem to think money is the be all and end all of everything. Well done my friend. :) Sandra xx

Oh so true. Drew just thought he was helping. Sometimes men are clueless. Thank you for the kind review.

See, Anderson's getting pretty creepy now. Controlling and looking quite manipulative as well...
Well written chapter but Mr Sharp ain't looking too great right now.

I can promise you Drew will redeem himself. Shana will hold her own. Thank you for the kind review.

A lighter mood for a change. Men assembling a bed without looking at instructions is probably a worldwide phenomenom. I don't blame Shana for being angry about Drew giving her money, behind her back, no less!

You've produced some humor with the attempts to put the bed together. Then the oil rig fire adds excitement. Zach is the one who's going off to see to it. He has a handgun, too. It the fire an accident or more of the plot against Shana? I assume the call from Shana's father notified her about the money in her checking account. She immediately berates Drew about doing it, saying she's not for sale. Drew forgets how proud Shana is, and she doesn't like to owe anyone. Great development in this chapter. judi

I don't think I've ever been truly happy with alive written either Barbara. . There's a serious fire on one of the oil rigs and Zachery departs to fix it, plus Hiis gun. I think this is Kuznetsov again I'll bet. Later Shana storms out of the room, because Drew has deposited money in her account. She's proud, well done Barbara, great episode, blessings, Roy

Well done,

The family dynamics work well in this chapter, with its teasing repartee. I like the way you are beginning to draw the plot elements together, too.
Just a couple of minor editing suggestions:
the extra parts(') drawer
Moments later, with his bag in hand(,) Zachery stood in the doorway.

Hi Barbara, so Drew has stepped in it yet again. You would have thought that he would know how Shana would react to that one. I found a couple of things:
"I need to leave. One of sites by Corpus has a fire. I'll be in touch." = "... One of the sites by Corpus ..."
Anderson stood and stared the direction had she left. = Anderson stood and stared in the direction she had left.
I'm looking forward to what will happen next. All the best. Ulla:)))

Oops! Looks like Drew has overstepped the line again with Shana. Good chapter again. Only one little tiny spag this time. Anderson stood and shook his brother's hand. "I plan to[o]. Take care." They embraced in a brothers' version of a hug.
