Oh wow, John! I think I've just died and gone to Heaven! This has to be my all-time favourite of all your dishes and I'm virtually savouring every mouthful. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe, accompanied by that age-old, groovy, baby, Herman's Hermits record which really takes me back. You're definitely the king of the kitchen and I have a smile from ear to ear, only dampened slightly by the fact I have nothing more to give for this fine dining experience...except for one thing:) Bless your cotton socks, John. No wonder those puppies adore you! Cheers Debbie

This dish looks so delicious and as you know I am a big fan of salmon John. I've never thought of using pistachios in a sauce and I shall try your recipe today! A great post and I always love your cooking suggestions, love Dolly x x x

This sounds absolutely delicious! Thanks for sharing this and showing us how you can juggle dog-walking, dancing, singing, and cooking a healthy meal all at the same time!

It's all in the rum... no, I'm kidding. Or am I?

Thank you Helen for the great review!

Ah, sounds perfect! This is exactly the sort of meal I love, and it is not a hard one to make, but always fresh, healthy and delicious. Here we would use fresh broccoli or broccolini, even better. I enjoy your engaging tales of your cooking and of course your beautiful dogs.
Wendy
Edit: Salmon Gramolata w/Pistachio (gremolata)

I should not be reading this at 10 pm at night. I am hungry again. You are a cook, you know stuff, what is broccolini? Is it a hybrid, or young broccoli perhaps? I love salmon. Thank you. Karen

This was a fun one. I've never even heard of gremolata, so it was horizon-expanding as well. I love your cheerful tone, and of course, how awesome you are making this for a FS friend across the pond!

Here are some specific comments. Some are my usual, super-picky grammar-nerd suggestions. Just take what you can use, and discard the rest. (I tried to make that last line sound recipe-like). :-)

I arrived home from work today, my customary time, 4pm and was greeted at the door
(Just a style suggestion. This would be the perfect place for em-dashes:
...work today--my customary time 4pm--and was greeted...)

greeted at the door by twelve paws
(This is such an awesome way to describe your puppies!)

And tonight is going to be epic
(To stay in the tense you've been up to this point:
...tonight was going to be...)

I mumbled to Snow our golden retriever.
(Do you have a white golden???? If so, have you ever posted a picture of her here for a story?)

a smoked rum old fashion
(a smoked-rum old-fashioned)

The menu my dear friend is as follows:
(The menu, my dear friend, is...)

Toss in pistachios slowly,

stirring often, until fragrant and toasted
(There is an unintentional paragraph break here)

First some music maestro.
(First some music, maestro.)

Black Sabbath and Ozzie
(I was NOT expecting you to say that! Haha!)

Thank you for sharing this very gourmet-sounding delight!
Julie

I am positive that your friend would be very pleased with this wonderful salmon meal you have prepared at home. I know it sounds wonderful to me. You went out of your way to make a lovely meal fit for a queen and I have a feeling this UK friend will appreciate it very much. You are so kind and also a very good friend.

And who could pass up the music of the Herman's Hermits?
You should be quite pleased with yourself. Thank you for sharing this feast with us too. Virtual six, my dear friend.
Love, Debi

Wow. You are killing me with these recipes of late. lol This one sounds amazing too. Killing me mostly because I haven't had the energy to cook anything of subtance since Thanksgiving due to this case of Pneumonia I've been battling. So I will tuck the recipe away because I love fish and I love pistachios. Your musical choices were top notch as well. Might i suggest a little Steppenwolf if you try a dessert next. :-) thanks for sharing
