I am assuming you are better since your posting. You have had quite a run of it my friend. I didn't remember you had COVID-19 three times. I only had it once a year and a half ago. I praise the vaccine for working so well for me. Continue to take care of yourself. Shirley

I'm home, but with a home carer. It was the battering I had throughout the year from Covid that was my undoing. I have to built up my strength again, and get myself fit. It'll take a while, but at least I'm home, and I think I'll do better here than had I stayed in hospital. My immune system is a waste of space! I hope to be able to so something about that, with the doctor's help. Thank you, Shirley. Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

Glad your family got you where you needed to be.
The meds are strong, and the recovery long.
Rest in bed, don't worry your head,
Soon, dear writer, you will be virus-free!

Aw, what a clever little poem, Ginda! I love it. I know it will take a while before I'm completely well again. But I can be patient. Thank you for that lovely poem, it put a big smile on my face. Warm hugs Sandra xxx

I've tried not to write during your illness, but you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I learned of your illnesses. Although, I don't know how much the prayers of an old sinner like me could help, if at all. I'm so glad you are home and getting better. I always enjoy your stories, but most of all, it's the twinkle you give off with your kindness and sweet words in our communications. Please don't bother to reply. Wishing you the BEST! Ric

So very good to read you are back and have come through what may have finished others. Congratulations on being surrounded by good people, and for the medical experts who could save you from all those "not that bad" ailments.

Aw, thank you, Bill. I had a wonderful medical team looking after me, and my hubby and son. With nurses and ambulance drivers on strike, it's a scary place to be at the moment. I was lucky. I'll not use that term, 'not that bad' again!! Thank you for your kind, caring words, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

I'm so glad that you are getting better and being treated in a hospital after being taken to it by your husband and a son. Even though your disease sounds very serious, but you are still writing and trying to post a new chapter of your book soon. Your courage and persistence deserve a six star.

Aw, thank you, Jasmine. I think my writing helps me not have a pity party for one, lol. It does focus me to a point. I'm improving a lot, thank goodness, but just need to continue resting, and do as I'm told. I'm not finding that hard to do because I'm still feeling so tired, and too weak to attempt anything physical. Sitting and doing a little writing is relaxing. Thank you for that golden star. It gave me a nice lift. You're a good friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

You are still a careful writer even when recovering. You are so lucky you are alive! My granddaughter was ill only 24 hours with septicemia, and she nearly died. That's a terrible infection. And you were sick with two more problems! Prayers must have helped. I pray your recovery continues and you have a healthy 2023.

I know how lucky I am, and I will listen to my family in future and not be so stubborn. I was injected with so much antibiotics and goodness knows what, they saved my life! I have a long way to go before I'm up and back to normal, but I'll get there. Thank you, Carol. I'm glad your granddaughter pulled through. As you say, it's a nasty infection. Warm hugs, my friend. Hi Liz. Thanks so much, my friend. I never, ever want to go through that again. I'll be good from now on and listen to my body, or my family. Love and hugs, my friend. xx Sandra xx

I'm so glad to hear you're at home now. From now on, listen to your husband and son! I think that's what women do, though. They think they have to be strong and carry on, taking care of others. I'm glad the doctors were able to diagnose your problems and give you the right medications. I've read that COVID can damage your immune system. It's good that you're having home care. You mentioned the ambulance staff being on strike. That is terrible. I heard one of our states had a nurses' strike, but I think it's settled. Take it easy, and let us know how you're doing. judi

I'm glad too! I was in a terrible state and didn't realise how ill I was. I'm so pleased I'm home, at least I know all I have to do is build my strength up again, and continue getting better. When Covid hit the world, it wasn't going to go away quietly. Yes, I will listen to my Graham and Chris, I'll eternally grateful for their love.
The UK is being plunged into a crisis with nurses, ambulances, trains, teachers, and others, all going on strike. People are dying, and I can only say, I was really lucky. Thank you, my dear friend. And thank you for that lovely star. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

I've heard similar stories from others who live in the UK. It's a shame that there are all those crises. We have strikes here, too. There were the nurses' strike and a teachers' strike, but I don't think they lasted long. So glad to hear you are home. Take care and rest up. judi

It is such a relief to hear you are back in your own bed and the diagnosis to your illnesses has been made. Many people would not have been so lucky, unfortunately. The healthcare system your end sounds like it needs a major overhaul. So good to have your back and resting and recovering. God bless you for a speedy rehabilitation.

Our government has let our wonderful health care system down badly. And still they won't act. People are dying, and they don't seem to be at all bothered by it. Thank you, my friend, for your kind thoughts. It's so nice to be home and in my own bed. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx
