Well, isn't Jordan a big help to Katherine? He's learned what will happen during chemo but isn't helping cheer her up. She already knows what to expect, anyway. It's wonderful she has all that family support. With chemo going on so long, she'll have to make a decision about her job. It'll require a lot of time off, a shame, as she was just getting started. Gabe would probably welcome that. Excellent work with the characters, and lovely family. judi

I think Jordan is scared and is doing all he knows to do. Thank you for the kind review.

Hmm, This was very brief chapter. A little family time and talk. I don't think there is a chapter where Coach doesn't use the word: help.
Something you may want to look over during your post-run through.
The writing. I see nothing that needs fixing.

I will do a find in my manuscript and see how often coach uses 'help.' Thank you for the kind review.

I have a question. Are you going to cover any of the details of the actual therapy, and if so how much detail will you disclose? If you choose to do so, I hope that you do not frighten anyone away. I full well know that this is a subject that poses a real challenge to some people. I am proud of the courage you have shown so far in even including it as subject matter. Good job.

I do go into the first chemo treatment, but not a lot. The final chapter is a lot of Katherine's side effects. I will think about.

My sister died from breast cancer. This was not only an entertaining chapter but also informative. Thank you for posting warning signs. Just one thing below:
"I wasn't looking for a man in my life and definitely not a playboy jock." Katherine titled [tilted] her head and thought. [I'm sure you meant tilted]

Gabriel is proving himself to be a much better man than he might have been in younger days, and certainly devoted to Catherine and the boys. This is a beautiful chapter about family pulling together. Well done, Barbara.
Just one little typo: Sarah put her (arm) around Joel.

My neighbor came down with breast cancer and we went in prayer. She went through removing the one breast and the Kemo but God had assured me she was held. After a few weeks, the dr. saw no need for Chemo and she is recurring great.
I have enjoyed your story and know your style of writing which I admire, I am not into the other as yet but perhaps later.

Isn't it lovely to know there is someone to rely, but to get someone who's kids are not his to take on kid duties is extra special, but with husband and wife, once you you take up an adoptive role one has no choice, this fits perfectly in my values. Beautiful written, Barbara, blessings Roy

Thank you for the encouragement. I have taken a few hits for my 'old fashioned' values.

That?s sad, impure thought is not your problem, restraint is a love, they mistake love and respect as lust.
-
So trust, but I'm told I must modernize my writing. I keep telling them there are people out there who like my work. Their answer they're just being nice for the review.

I don?t think that?s nice, it?s still a form of mocking Barbara, in a fallen world, to stand is tough, you keep going, some people like principe,

Another great chapter in your story. I love it how Katherine is sharing what she is going through with her family, especially her sons. Too many times, people keep these things hidden and that is scary for their families.

I feel kids need to know the truth as much as they're capable of handling. Thank you for the kind review.

You are welcome and I agree with you.

It's going to be hard on the boys, seeing their mother go through all that. It's good that she has so much support, she'll definitely need it. I hope you did when you went through all this. Such a horrid time. You've done another really good job writting this one, Barbara, so very well done. Virtual six until next Sunday. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Thank you for the virtual six. I had support, but not in-laws and my family lives a distance away. I had two boys at home and my husband. My friends were a huge help.
