What a stunner! Didn't see this coming--brilliant dialog--you masterfully render their intense interaction. Will there be more backstory as to why only FIVE times (four kids)--what's the deal with the neglectful George--I earlier you implied that she was a trophy wife--did she know that going in? Will this be slowly revealed or is it not improtant to the story?

What Katherine said could seem unbelievable to anyone who has only known warm, loving relationships. My husband has three siblings - I would guess that his parents did not have sex very often - but, at least 4 times, right? She was the coldest woman I'd ever met. I am sorry that Katherine has not known love. She deserves better.

It looks like Gabriel, through his persistence, has just about cracked through Katherine's tough exterior. Seems like he's always capable of creating one more gaff (talking to the principal behind her back to get her to go to the football game) to end the evening on a low note.
One small point:
Katherine remained in Gabriel's arms, until her confidence return. [... until her confidence RETURNED.]

Yeah, the problem with my reviewing is in the timing. I download them as soon after Saturday Midnight (EST). But my time is so structured that I don't get to the reviewing until after 7 PM Sunday Night. By then, many SPAG notifications have been already corrected.

Wow. I'm very surprised at this chapter; at Katherine. Poor Kathrine! I never would've imagined that she went through that. And at seventeen? That's what I am now. I'm glad Gabriel was there and is kind and gentle and sweet. I want to see what happens in the next chapter!

We have more information to learn about Katherine's marriage, but I can promise she's warming up a little to Gabriel.

Good. That makes me happy. I sympathize with Gabriel. I married a divorcee and had to win not only her over, but her 4 year old daughter and her relatives as well. That was 46 years ago.
