This was an unexpected rescue, and life-altering in that Dot found a new friend and walking companion. I would suggest using left justification for easier reading, as well as adding missing line breaks between paragraphs. The easier to read, the better comprehension. Is there a reason you use single quotation marks? Dot was indeed lucky.

This is so sweet. I love how the traumatic rescue slowly eases into the developing friendship. The word limit makes those kinds of transitions difficult, but you managed it well.

This is a well-told story about relationships. There are relationships between walkers and their dogs and not there is a relationship between people that need relationships.

In this day and age of Covid, we are forced to be more wary. You can't tell if a stranger is okay or not. Too much of their face is hidden. I think the story revolved around that theme, to trust or not to trust. In this case, Harry and Dot became friends. '

'Same here,' the man replied, 'name's Harry.'
Harry smiled. (Can you show us how we know he smiled? He was wearing a mask. Did his eyes crinkle, twinkle?

This is a creatively written story that is life altering and heart-warming. I'm glad to read stories that take place during these trying times but have a pleasant outcome.
