Yes, praise God for these brave young missionaries. And yes, I thank God that I have never been that desperate, either, but we pray for the souls of these kidnappers -- especially because if special forces move in on them, they may not have long for this world. We don?t want to see any loss of life here.

Hi Amahra! Those are some amazing coinky-dinkies! (And I don't think there are any coincidences with God.) Kimbob (Father Flaps) was saved when he was 25, and so was I.
I'm happy that you liked my poem. I hope the missionaries and their children will be alright. So many people (above and beyond our little group here) are praying for them, probably millions. It's all in God's hands.

Hi Mary Kay,
I heard about this kidnapping when it happened. But I've missed any more news. Do you have an update? Of course, I've been praying that God would intervene.
We have a woman at our church who goes down to Haiti regularly on a mission trip. Many of the congregation take the journey with her, building houses and schools, etc. The country is in bad shape.
I liked your quote, "A Born-Again Birthday". My born-again birthday would be Easter Sunday night, usually in March. It was when I was baptized at the age of 25.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17

Hi, Kimbob. I was answering my reviews in order, but I'm making a few exceptions, and this one is because I just heard an update on the news. The gang leader is threatening to shoot the missionaries, if they don't get the ransom money -- not realizing that harming the Lord's anointed is playing with fire. David wouldn't do it with King Saul, and David was anointed, himself. These guys are in desperate need of the salvation that can be found in Jesus Christ, but they don't know the time of their visitation ... maybe they will realize it, before it's too late, not so much for the sake of the missionaries, but for their own. I hope our brethren there will survive this ordeal.
Sadly, their country is in terrible shape, indeed. It must be awful to live there.
I was saved when I was 25, too! Easter Sunday night is a sweet born-again birthday. I wasn't baptized for almost two years, after that, when I found my church home. And I found my husband there, too, only I didn't know it, at the time. God has such a great sense of humor.

I especially appreciate your prayers for the 17, whose situation has grown more dire -- I heard an update on the news, that the leader of this gang was threatening to kill these servants of God, if the money wasn't given to them. He doesn?t realize that he's not just trifling with flesh and blood, but he's threatening sons and daughters of the Most High God. He should be afraid. I hope he realizes what he's doing, along with the other members of this violent group.

I have been following this closely on the news. It is unthinkable, the terror these 17 must be feeling! I pray for a quick and safe resolution. They say the FBI and State Department are working behind the scenes. The leader of the 400 Mawozo Gang does not realize he will not escape justice.

Yes, Karenina, I am also following it, and I am sure it won't go well for this man, if he follows through on his threats. I hope so much that he won't, although I imagine it's an issue of pride at this point; the lives of these 17 innocent ones hang in the balance. Prayer is a very powerful means at our disposal! Not giving up, here.

I am also praying for those missionaries, for their safe return, and thank you for your birthday request. I also want to add a special thank you for that amazing song/video of the West Coast Choir singing. What a blessing that was to me!! I want to hear it again and again, and I plan to share the video with others as well. It is a fantastic song, and so beautifully presented by this choir of young people, whose faces shine with the beauty of the Lord. They obviously knew what they were singing about.
