Your references to Bible scripture are excellent reminders of why a marriage will either succeed or fail. No marriage alliance that excludes God will be a happy or successful union. It may last because one lacks the courage or means to escape, but there will be little or no happiness at all. God our father performed the first marriage when he united Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Of course you know this already. What is important to consider is, at no time during that ceremony did he mention the possibility or divorce. In fact he said that a man will stick with his wife, leaving his mother and father behind and create a brand new family. This is a wonderful and powerful poem. Thank you for submitting it.
