As snow drifts down through frosty air,
I'm nestled in my easy chair,
I watch fat flakes through frosted glass
I'm mesmerized ~ slow hours pass
An ethereal, white love affair
Remembering my childhood where,
we threw snowballs with zeal and flair,
dear memories return en masse
as snow drifts down.
Soft twilight dims earth's subtle glare;
reminding me to be aware
that time is flitting by.. alas,
aged sand sifts through my hourglass;
each moment is unique and rare...
as snow drifts down.
