Caught Out
by LisaMay
Ronnie’s urge was strong. Gwen didn’t like what he did, but she was already snoring. She’d never know.
He slipped quietly out of bed, dressed in dark clothes and rubber-soled shoes, then smeared his face with black camouflage paint before leaving the house to sneak around the neighbourhood on his burglary quest.
Back home, he hid the stolen jewellery, changed into his pyjamas, and snuggled down beside his sleeping wife.
In the morning Gwen took one disappointed look and chastised him for going out on the prowl again.
“How did you know?” Ronnie asked.
“You forgot to wash your face.”
