Love's Divine by Seal
Sally's Jukebox Hits #41
by Sally Law
Welcome to my pages where I'm counting down my favorite songs of all-time from 50 to 1!
It's my birthday, and what better way to spend the day than celebrating love and enjoying great music. I've lived during the finest era of music, and love sharing it here on FanStory.
At the #41 position is "Love's Divine" by Seal. The fabulous British singer-songwriter has sold over 20 million records worldwide. Seal's mellow voice and range is perfect for this song, and listening to it always leaves me transformed.
For those who've been following my work on FanStory, you'll probably recall I have used this song in my love story, "Letters From Heaven's Gateway #4." It fit perfectly into the story; as love is oftentimes hiding in plain sight.

Real love is a wake up call, a splash of cold water in the face. I believe love, especially God's love, is the antidote to hate.
Long-standing FanStorian, Debbie Pope, has requested that I extend the twofer through August. Who can say no to Debbie? Not me!
I'm inclined towards Seal's most recognized song, "Kiss From a Rose." Enjoy the double goodness, my dears, and make sure you thank Debbie.
Well, I need to run. My 66 birthday candles are about to explode. I wouldn't want to spoil a perfectly good birthday cake.
{Love's Divine by Seal Samuel / Mark Batson}
Then the rainstorm came over me
And I felt my spirit break
I had lost all of my belief, you see
And realized my mistake
But time threw a prayer to me
And all around me became still
I need love, love's divine
Please forgive me, now I see that I've been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name
Through the rainstorm came sanctuary
And I felt my spirit fly
I had found all of my reality
I realize what it takes
'Cause I need love, love's divine
Please forgive me, now I see that I've been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name
Oh I, don't bend (don't bend), don't break (don't break)
Show me how to live and promise me you won't forsake
'Cause love can help me know my name
Well, I try to say there's nothing wrong
But inside I felt me lying all along
But the message here was plain to see
Believe me
'Cause I need love, love's divine
Please forgive me, now I see that I've been blind
Give me love, love is what I need to help me know my name
Oh I, don't bend (don't bend), don't break (don't break)
Show me how to live and promise me you won't forsake
'Cause love can help me know my name
Love can help me know my name. *Source
